Nathaniel Reid Bakery will soon be able to bring even more decadent sweets to the St. Louis area.

The Kirkwood, Missouri, pastry shop announced Thursday that it has expanded its production space by 1,000 square feet. 

Guests probably won't be able to notice the expansion, because the bakery expanded below the bakery itself. But the new facilities promise to double the bakery's output. This means that guests will start seeing more offerings in the bakery's showcase, from Reid's famous croissants to his showstopping glossy cakes, and the bakery will also be able to handle more holiday orders. 

The bakery will also now be able to increase its catering and boxed lunch orders, which include a build-your-own meal of sandwiches, salads, cookies, brownies and fruit.

“Thanks to our community’s support we have had the fortune to see the rapid growth of our bakery over the past three years," Reid said in a release. “With the new expanded space, our team will have a little more breathing room, and we will be able to fulfill more orders for holiday menus as well as catering and boxed lunches.”
