Randall's Wines & Spirits Interior

A fifth location of Randall's Wine and Spirits is headed to The Hill.

Randall's Wine and Spirits is coming to The Hill.

The popular liquor store is set to open at the intersection of Kingshighway Boulevard and Southwest Avenue this summer. The new space will be 13,000 square feet and, in addition to its plethora of spirits for sale, it will also feature a seminar space for classes and events, plus a room dedicated just to whiskey.

“Who would have thought, when we started 22 years ago, that we would be opening our fifth store,” owner George Randall said in a press release. “I just want to say thank you so very much for our continued success. We’re blessed to have the support of such amazing customers and staff.”

The newest location of Randall's promises the wide selection and staff expertise the local chain is known for, but the whiskey room is a brand-new endeavor for the retailer.

“High-end whiskey has been a big part of Randall’s since my dad opened that first store in Fairview Heights back in 1998,”  vice president Todd Randall said. “There wasn’t the craze for it then like there is now, but it was probably the only store anywhere close where you could get things like 30-year-old Macallan Scotch or 20-year-old Pappy Van Winkle Bourbon.”

Expect the new store to open on Aug. 1.
