Hi-Pointe Drive-In is headed to Kirkwood.
The St. Louis-based fast-casual burger restaurant will open its third location at 951 S. Kirkwood Road later this summer. Hi-Pointe Drive-In comes from the same team beind Sugarfire Smoke House and Chicken Out.
“We’ve been looking to lock down a spot in Kirkwood for a long time, and we are finally making it happen,” chef-owner Mike Johnson said in a press release. “We love the community feeling in Kirkwood and we can’t wait to open the doors and offer another location to get Hi.”
The opening is a part of a long-term growth plan for the restaurant and will join the two previous locations in Downtown St. Louis and St. Louis' Hi-Pointe neighborhood.
“We’ve used the last year to build a top-tier team, refine our menu and operations, and are ready to hit the ground running with expansion," Hi-Pointe president Ben Hillman said in the release. "We could not be more excited to have our next location be in the City of Kirkwood.”
Highlights of the new location will include a large dining room, as well as a covered outdoor patio. From the menu, guests can expect the same lineup of burgers, sandwiches, milkshakes and kooky daily specials ranging from calamari tacos to chicken fried steak biscuit sandwiches to a Flamin' Hot Doritos burger.
Renovations for the space are expected to start in June. A fourth location in O'Fallon, Illinois, is also in the works, but no anticipated opening date has been announced yet.
