The Hugo is actually a northern Italian cocktail, but it has been adopted by Germans and is one of the most popular alcoholic choices outside of beer in the country. It's bright and refreshing, with hints of a Mojito.

- 2 mint leaves, plus more for garnish
- 1 slice lime, plus more for garnish
- 1½ tsp elderflower syrup
- 7 oz sparkling wine
- 3 oz sparkling water
| Preparation | In the bottom of a cocktail glass, muddle mint leaves and lime slice. Add elderflower syrup, then sparkling wine and water. Stir, then add ice. Garnish with additional mint leaves and lime slice.
