Garden Rose Cocktail

You didn’t forget about Valentine’s Day, did you? If you forgot to pick up some flowers for your sweetheart, maybe make it up with this lovely little cocktail instead! The Garden Rose, from the Gitano Jungle Room NYC, is a perfect way to wish for spring, and you can garnish the top with edible flowers if you really want to get fancy. Remember to celebrate your loved ones every day, not just the holidays!

Garden Rose

Serves | 1 |

  • 1 oz tequila
  • 3/4 oz elderflower liqueur
  • 3/4 oz simple syrup
  • 3/4 oz lemon juice
  • 4 dashes rose water
  • 1 strawberry, sliced
  • cava or other sparkling wine, to finish

| Preparation | Muddle the strawberry in the bottom of a cocktail shaker. Add ice, then add every other ingredient besides the sparkling wine. Shake well and strain into a coupe glass, then finish with the sparkling wine. Garnish with edible flowers if desired.
