With two different restaurants in the City Market and a food truck, Marco Rabello and Cristian Maciel had their hands full when the pandemic hit. But they quickly turned on curbside carryout for both Chicken Please! and Taste of Brazil, and have been hustling ever since.
Chicken Please! opened just over a year ago two doors down from their original restaurant, Taste of Brazil. Offering a selection of family-friendly fried chicken, tenders, wings and grilled chicken sandwiches, Chicken Please! always seemed to have a line out of the door – especially on weekends when the farmers' market was in full swing.
With a new carryout menu in place, Chicken Please! is now offering its most popular chicken items with a side of social distancing.
Get the smoking hot thighs and fries, which comes with either 2 or 3 pieces of chicken. The thighs are brined in salt, wine, beer and peppercorns before being slow baked in the oven and served on a bed of crispy French fries. The brining process makes the meat flavorful, juicy and tender.
Every dish is cooked to order, so guests can either swing by and place an order in person, call ahead or order online to have their meal ready when they arrive.
Temporary hours for takeout orders at Chicken Please! are Tuesday through Friday from 11am to 2pm and Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 3pm.
