When it opened its doors in 1994, Flat Branch Pub & Brewing became Columbia's first brewery since 1841, and remained the only one in town for the next decade. Today, the brewpub continues to set the bar for both craft beer and pub fare, featuring a lineup of craft brews including the Katy Trail Pale Ale, Honey Wheat, Irish Red Ale and Chocolate Porter alongside shareable snacks, brick-oven pizzas, burgers, sandwiches and more. Your best bet? Order a pint of the beloved Green Chili Ale and pair it with Flat Branch's signature Chokes 'n' Cheese, a creamy artichoke-cheese dip served in a house-baked bread bowl with carrots, celery and broccoli on the side for dipping. Stop by during happy hour from 4 to 6pm to get all pints for just $4. (Photo by Aaron Ottis)
