Mike's Wine & Spirits Beer

Mike's Wine & Spirits will deliver beer, wine or liquor in a couple of hours to your door.

Starting this week, those living in Kansas City, Missouri, can order their favorite beer, wine or spirit and have it delivered straight to their door in under 60 minutes.

Following Kansas City’s city council approval this month to legalize online alcohol sales and delivery in Kansas City, Missouri, locally-owned liquor chain Mike’s Wine & Spirits announced a new partnership with Drizly, the nation’s largest alcohol e-commerce marketplace.

Consumers of legal drinking age can visit the Mike’s Wine & Spirits or Drizly websites, or use the Drizly app to access the large selection of inventory to purchase and schedule in-store pickup or delivery in under 60 minutes from Mike's Brookside, Westport or Waldo locations. The app works seven days a week from 2 to 10pm. There is a $29 minimum for delivery, and kegs are excluded from delivery.

“We established a relationship with Drizly in anticipation of the city council’s approval and have launched alcohol delivery through its website and app,” said Andy Doohan, manager of Mike’s Wine & Spirits. “Through our partnership with Drizly, Kansas City, Missouri, residents can shop for alcohol for any occasion, whether they’re stocking up for a party or just want a bottle of wine to go with dinner. Just like we would at our storefront, we always check IDs to verify that the customer is 21+ when we make a delivery with Drizly.”

Missouri State law requires that someone 21 years of age or older must be personally present to accept delivery, and the person taking delivery must provide valid identification and sign for the items delivered. Acceptable identification includes a valid driver's license or passport. Drizly provides each retailer with a proprietary ID verification technology that allows delivery personnel to scan and verify IDs.

“We look forward to establishing partnerships with additional retailers in the Kansas City area to offer even more choices to consumers in the world of online alcohol,” says Justin Robinson, SVP of New Business & Co-Founder at Drizly.
