This is similar to a whiskey sour, but the red wine on top adds a killer aromatic hit to it that makes this drink perfect for a cold winter night.

- 2 oz bourbon
- ¾ oz lemon juice
- ¾ oz simple syrup
- splash red wine (Beaujolais is best)
| Preparation | In a cocktail shaker with ice, combine bourbon, lemon juice, and simple syrup and shake. Strain into a highball glass, then pour red wine over the back of a spoon to float on top.
