This takes a little prep time, but it makes a batch large enough to serve several people. Infuse the tequila with jalapeño a day beforehand, and put the pitcher together the day you want to drink one of these spicy Margaritas.
Serves | 6 to 8 |
- 1 cup tequila
- 1 jalapeño, sliced and divided
- 3 cups blanco tequila
- 1 cup orange liqueur
- 1½ cups lime juice
- lime wedges (for garnish)
- salt (for rims)
| Preparation – Jalapeño Tequila | Add half of sliced jalapenos to tequila and let sit at room temperature for several hours. When ready to make the pitcher, strain out jalapenos and discard; serve infused tequila on the side so guests can adjust their own spice level.
| Preparation - Margaritas | In a pitcher with ice, combine remaining ingredients and garnish with lime and remaining pepper slices. Pour Margaritas into salted-rime glasses and add spicy tequila a small amount at a time, to taste.
